“The Safe Aging Coalition of Northern Kentucky provides resources aimed at keeping the Senior Community safe. Safety is our superpower!”
Suzanne Piper-Baird, Executive Director
Safe Aging Coalition of Northern Kentucky (SACofNKY)
The Safe Aging Coalition began forming about four years ago when Attorney Parker Clifton, Law Office of Parker Clifton, brought the idea to Colleague Suzanne Piper-Baird, CSA of Senior First Care Advisors, LLC and the Law Office of Parker Clifton. Parker was a past Board Member of a Falls Prevention Program in Butler County Ohio. Upon research and invitation to Community Partners, the journey of Safe Aging Coalition of NKY began. In 2016, the Coalition became an official Non-Profit Agency. Through community partner participation, the Formal Name was developed, the logo, and Board. This Coalition is backed by and influenced by KSPAN~Kentucky Safety Prevention Alliance Network. The Mission Statement is: We are a Collaboration of Community Partners focused on Promoting the Health and Wellness among Aging and At-Risk Adults through implementation of Safety Education and Awareness Programs, Activities, and Demonstration.
The Safe Aging Coalition is focused on keeping senior adults safe. In doing so, prevention of falls is at the top of our list! We provide special programs to educate senior adults on ways to prevent falls and this hugely impacts the way we manage safety in the home. Good lighting is of the upmost importance, especially at night. This is why we started the “Nightlight Program”. It is our goal to “light the path” of senior adults at risk for falls, which is a huge undertaking and one we are serious about! Will you help us put nightlights in the homes of our senior adults by donating to this important cause?
