Education
As the main focus of our Mission, Education and Awareness is a key element in Falls Prevention. Falls are the leading cause of death and injury in Aging Adults. It is critical that the aging, thier caregivers, and the community at large are aware of and educated on the importance of Falls Prevention. The Safe Aging Coalition of NKY is dedicated to the Education Programs we can offer in our Community. In addition to Seminars, Presentations, Health Clinics, and Demonstrations, our Website will host articles on the Research and Prevention of Falls and will provide virtual learning opportunities.
Nightlight Program
The Safe Aging Coalition is excited to announce that they will be offering a “Give-Back” Program. Along with our Education we offer to the community, we want to offer Seniors in need assistance in the area of Falls Prevention. Every year we offer Nightlights to the first 200 attendees of our Adult Health Clinic with a Focus on Falls Prevention in September. Since most falls occur at night, we have purchased nightlights to guide the way to bathroom safety.
Durable Me Program
The Safe Aging Coalition offers Durable Medical Equipment for bathroom safety to seniors in need. Items such as shower seats, grab bars, etc are available for seniors who meet income and other qualifications. Please click here to fill out an application

Nightlight Program
The Safe Aging Coalition is focused on keeping senior adults safe. In doing so, the prevention of falls is at the top of our list! We provide special programs to educate senior adults on ways to prevent falls and this hugely impacts the way we manage safety in the home. Good lighting is of the utmost importance, especially at night. This is why we started the “Nightlight Program”. It is our goal to “light the path” of senior adults at risk for falls, which is a huge undertaking and one we are serious about! Will you help us put nightlights in the homes of our senior adults by donating to this important cause?
