A Day on the Green, A Lifetime of Impact: Join Us for the 2026 Green Side Gala
At the Safe Aging Coalition of Northern Kentucky, everything we do is rooted in a simple but powerful goal: helping older adults remain safe, independent, and confident in their own homes. Through education, awareness, and hands-on support, our all-volunteer coalition works every day to reduce the risk of falls and improve quality of life for seniors across our region.
But none of this work happens without the support of our community—and that’s why we’re so excited to invite you to one of our most meaningful and enjoyable events of the year.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 12, 2026, and join us at the beautiful Kenton County Golf Course for our Annual Gala Fundraiser: the Green Side Gala. Sign up HERE
More Than Just a Night Out
The Green Side Gala is more than an evening of great food, music, and scenic views—it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of older adults throughout Northern Kentucky.
This year’s event promises a memorable experience for all who attend. Guests will enjoy an open beer and wine bar, a variety of delicious catered food and appetizers, and lively musical entertainment in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Whether you’re reconnecting with friends, meeting new faces, or simply enjoying a night out, the atmosphere is designed to be both fun and meaningful.
Throughout the evening, there will also be opportunities to participate in fundraising activities that directly support our mission. Every dollar raised helps us expand our reach and provide essential safety resources to seniors who need them most.
A Proven Impact in Our Community
If you’ve ever wondered whether an event like this truly makes a difference, the answer is a resounding yes.
Thanks to the generosity of last year’s attendees and supporters, the Safe Aging Coalition raised nearly $27,000 at our 2025 gala. Those funds have already been put to work right here in Northern Kentucky, helping provide durable medical equipment to seniors in need.
This includes items like walkers, grab bars, raised toilet seats, shower chairs, and other essential tools that make homes safer and more accessible. These aren’t just conveniences—they are critical components in preventing falls, maintaining independence, and reducing the likelihood of serious injury.
For many older adults, a single fall can change everything. It can lead to hospitalization, loss of mobility, and even the need to leave the home they love. By contrast, a relatively small intervention—like proper lighting, decluttering, or the addition of safety equipment—can dramatically reduce those risks.
That’s the difference your support makes.
Why Fall Prevention Matters
Falls are one of the leading causes of injury among older adults, and the consequences can be life-altering. At the Safe Aging Coalition, we focus on proactive solutions—educating seniors and caregivers, providing practical tools, and demonstrating simple changes that can prevent accidents before they happen.
Our programs cover everything from improving home lighting (“This Little Light of Mine”) to reducing clutter (“Less Stuff, Fewer Falls, More Life”) and navigating life after a fall (“Roadmap to Navigating Change”). We also offer online resources, educational videos, and community presentations designed to reach as many people as possible.
But education alone isn’t always enough. Many seniors face financial barriers that prevent them from making necessary safety improvements. That’s where fundraising events like the Green Side Gala play a crucial role—bridging the gap between knowledge and action.
Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship secured, and every donation made helps us turn awareness into real-world impact.
An Evening That Gives Back
One of the most special aspects of the Green Side Gala is the sense of shared purpose that fills the event. While guests are enjoying the music, food, and beautiful golf course setting, they’re also part of something bigger—a community effort to care for our aging neighbors.
The Kenton County Golf Course provides the perfect backdrop for the evening, combining natural beauty with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a place where conversations flow easily, laughter comes naturally, and generosity takes center stage.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter of the Safe Aging Coalition or attending for the first time, you’ll quickly see that this event is about connection as much as it is about fundraising.
How You Can Get Involved
Attending the Green Side Gala is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to support our mission, but it’s not the only way to make a difference.
You can also:
• Become an event sponsor and help us expand our reach
• Donate directly to support fall prevention programs and equipment
• Volunteer your time and talents with the coalition
• Share our mission with friends, family, and colleagues
As a volunteer-driven organization, we rely on the strength and generosity of our community. Every contribution—big or small—helps us continue providing education, resources, and support to seniors across Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, and Pendleton Counties.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare for the 2026 Green Side Gala, we’re not just planning an event—we’re building on a legacy of impact. Each year, we’re able to reach more individuals, provide more resources, and strengthen our network of community partners.
But the need continues to grow.
With an aging population and increasing demand for services, our work is more important than ever. Events like the Green Side Gala ensure that we can meet that need—today and in the years ahead.

We invite you to be part of this special evening. Come enjoy the music, the food, and the camaraderie—but most importantly, come knowing that your presence is helping create safer homes and healthier lives for seniors throughout Northern Kentucky.
